The Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg, built in 1956, replacing the Old Wanderers Stadium. The Wanderers stadium underwent major construction work after South Africa's readmission to international cricket in 1991.
Wanderers Stadium has a capacity of 34,000 people and started hosting day-night matches from 1996 onwards after the construction of five 65-metre high floodlight towers.
Wanderers Stadium hosted some of the memorable matches including 2003 World Cup final between Australia and India, South Africa's record-breaking defeat of Australia in 2006 and IPL 2009 final between the Deccan Chargers and Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Wanderers Stadium will host 5 matches of 2010 Champions League Twenty20 - CLT20 including opening as well as the final.
